Yasha Chapman is the visionary behind Elementary Education Evolved, LLC—a K–12 educational consulting firm committed to closing academic gaps for minority students and increasing retention of apprentice teachers. With over a decade of experience in education, she has served in diverse roles including Certified Classroom Teacher, Instructional Coach, Curriculum Coordinator, and Writer. Yasha holds degrees from Georgia Southern University (B.S. in Early Childhood Education) and Liberty University (M.Ed. in Curriculum & Instruction: Leadership).
Driven by passion and purpose rooted in the legacy of two educator parents, Yasha’s passion for education runs deep. Inspired especially by her mother, Dr. Chiquetta Thompson, she believes in the life-changing power of high-quality instruction. Yasha’s work centers on equity, effective leadership, and helping educators discover their strengths to thrive in the classroom. Now based in Southern California, she is a proud military spouse and mother of two, continuing her mission to empower teachers and transform outcomes for students across the nation.
As your Educator’s Coach I will:
- Lead classroom observations and provide feedback to teachers and leaders
- Conduct model lessons and co-teach alongside classroom teachers (in-person)
- Provide office hours for leaders and teachers
- Support unit or lesson planning
- Lead lesson study cycles
- Analyze student work and formative assessment data to support instructional decision-making and responsiveness to learner outcomes
- Cultivate model classrooms as a means of elevating and replicating best practices for planning and instruction.
- Provide recommendations to educators designed to enhance equity of learning for diverse student populations.
- Create or customize professional development experiences, as needed
- Demonstrate a deep commitment to racial justice and an openness to exploring my own identity, biases, and beliefs. Engage in ongoing learning conversations about equity and anti-racism
Our Mission
Our mission is to decrease the academic gap for minority students in grades K-12 and increase the retention of K-12 teachers through effective coaching and training that inspires, empowers, and educates today’s educational leaders and teachers of this generation to transform the thinking, work performance, and methods to evolve with the children and the times that we serve.
Our Framework
Our framework, GRO to EVOLVE ™ , is rooted in the belief that when educators are goal-oriented, effectively implementing research-based practices with full optimization, the results lead to transformative academic and social growth. Through this lens, we focus on training and coaching that aids educators in gaining skills with engagement, variation, ownership of their role and responsibilities, leveraging, visualizing to verbalize, and empowering, thus helping both educators and students grow in order to evolve.

Milestones & Achievements
- Educational experience in 10% of the country
- Profound student academic growth (80%+) of students meeting grade-level standards – 92.9% met or exceeded in Math; 78.6% in Reading (2019)
- Created and facilitated a Kindergarten strategic plan increasing reading proficiency from 6% to 72% (2022)
- Created and led a K–5 strategic plan with a focus on literacy, resulting in increased teacher competency by 55% (2023)
- Cohort of coached educators maintained a class average of 80% or higher on all ELA quizzes and assessments (2023)
